Real life incidents and stories are always better than the imaginative ones. Reading books is a pleasure with many of us. Nonfiction books are based on real events and real stories. These are the one which reflects reality. The authors of these books are generally represents incidents either of their lives or of some important personality. It generally describes an event which has taken place in real life. The topics which are taken up to write these books are varied. The books are sometimes based on topics of religion and mythology. The books contain detailed information about the work and are a true presentation of the subject taken up.
There are many types of nonfiction books that are written. Text books, travel books, biographies, histories, documentation, journals, manuals are some major types of nonfiction available in the market. The author is supposed to present the true account of the topic taken up for writing. The books which present the imaginative account of the author are generally regarded as fictional books. These are the books which are the outcome of the self expressions. Fictional and nonfictional books are two sides of the same coins. The basic difference is that fictional presents imaginative stories while its counterpart is totally based on true incidents and events. Sometimes the fictional books are blend of real as well as imaginative account. The nonfictional authors are responsible for writing only the verified events.
Narration is an essential element in presentation of nonfiction books. People reading such books may not always know about the incidents that is the subject matter of the book. Thus clarity, honesty, simplicity, and correctness are some of the expressions that need consideration while producing nonfiction. Audience is of prime importance to every author. They are the people on whom their success or failure depends. Thus knowing about their interests and likings always help the authors in balanced presentation.
Creativity and innovation are the two elements which help to bring variation while writing nonfiction. The books should always be started with a fresh idea. An appropriate title which clearly communicates the idea should be written. Selection about the topic on which one knows well always helps in bringing clarity. The most important tip of writing nonfiction is that it should not be over written. Along with this the book should be divided into sections which increase the interest levels of the readers.
Marketing is the most important tool which always helps in sending it to the audience. If a person doesn’t know about the book or the author it is obvious that it won’t be bought. Thus only writing a book doesn’t help. It should be published and distributed as well to bring success. There is hundreds of nonfiction available in the market. Making the book unique and marketing it well should be two important tasks for a nonfiction writer.
